Botanica - Bird of Paradiseby *MagpieMagic

Digital Art / Paintings & Airbrushing / Still Life

This is the first in my new series Botanica.

The Bird of Paradise was painted in Corel Painter and 3 of my own textures were added in Photoshop. The image of the flower is something I did a while ago, however, I love flowers, especially exotic ones, so it seemed a good idea to get the painting out again and add depth with some textures.

There will be several more in the series.

Hi,

very nice collection of botanical studies.
Brings me back to my art foundation days where we had to make several studies of seeds and flowers.
Your results are much better of course

I had fun painting these. There's something very therapeutic about painting flowers and I love their interesting shapes.
